I now have 3 of these installed
running on Peterson 6700's and Peterson 7400's since
the beginning of January. I immediately saw
results! The system has saved us several times.
You know when you're operating an excavator or something
to load the grinder and you think you hear something
hit, but you're not sure and you don't want to have to
stop the excavator and go to turn off the grinder then
BOOM! and it turns out worse than you thought....well
this system is a whole lot more accurate than using my
ear and the effect is instantaneous. The system
even detected a metal tip that came off and tried to go
through the grinder, so it saved our grinder from it's
own parts damaging it. The system is so easy to
operate...there's nothing to it. You just tweak it
a little to be adjusted to what your grinding.
It's 100% a good deal! If you save your grinder
from at least just one bad hit, it's well worth it to
get this system.

grinder than we were grinding. It's really a
noticeable difference!"
We run a 4700B Peterson
horizontal grinder and we are grinding in a saw mill
that has metal contaminants. The contaminants are 1/4"
plate metal, angle iron, rebar, and miscellaneous metal
objects.
Our company noticed a big difference in damage control
since we have installed the new damage alert system. We
tried to grind this same material at a mill and every
ten buckets we would hit metal causing severe damage.
Now we hit the metal and the grinder shuts down. ...it
doesn't cause catastrophe damage!
Before, we installed the damage control system we were
working more on the grinder than we were grinding. It's
really a noticeable difference!

We have 2 of these installed on our
Morbark 5600 grinders and one on a Morbark 6600. We have used
the system for over a month now.
We run anything from land clearing to wood yard debris that
has a lot of metal mixed in with it. The system works
excellent for stopping little metal pieces to big metal
pieces from getting through. The metal pieces normally
would tear up inserts, hoods, screens, and hammers.
It's saving us a lot of money right now. This works so
well that we plan on getting more systems to install on two
of our other grinders! I would absolutely
recommend this system!!

location. The transducer is connected to the
electronics box with coaxial cable and connectors. All
mounting hardware, cabling and connectors necessary for
